Now just waiting for my connecting flight in Dubai after a relatively pain free departure from the airport and through customs. My bike case ended up heavier than I expected at 19.3 kg; I didn’t account for the extra couple of kilograms that the spares and tools added up to. Combined with my back pack weighing in at 10.8 kg meant the total was only just over the 30 kg allowance. But as I queued early, the guy at the check in was still in a good mood and even made a reference to me going over following Cadel! Great to see how his result has been noticed by the general public…
